it's been 11 days since we've 'announced' or 'shown' the world(ok in this case it's really just some close friends and family members) that we are officially off the market...

and everyone's been asking...'How's married life?'

Honestly...it feels pretty much the same, I guess the only difference is that you know the other party is legally required to be there all the time :p

oh and so...'How's the wedding?'

Honestly...it not the usual Chinese sit down 9 course thingy, in fact it's not even Chinese...it was not your usual BIG wedding either...it's a less than 100 pax nice and intimate dinner out of KL(even that I think we don't have a chance to entertain everyone).

It was lovely indeed... :)

(in my mind i was like, what? really? OMG OMG OMG) hehe and so i wanna thank my papa, my mama, my hubby, my nana, my doggies hmm...and the list goes on...hehehe NO REALLY i wanna thank everyone who's part of the ensemble and all the magnificent people whom drilled us greatly such as Joe Hasham, Faridah Merican, Mervyn Peters, Aris Kadir, Lex and so on...we must've done something right when we brought home 6 other awards including BEST ORIGINAL BOOK AND/OR LYRICS by U-EN Ng and BEST MUSICAL DIRECTION by Mervyn Peters.

This year celebration of my fabulous life is slightly different compared to my previous part 2 years...
there's no traveling to other country this year and you can tick zero on the box for music festivals as well...this year it's just plain grounded in KL...I know it may seem a little dull as compared to last year or the year before last...NOT REALLY...although grounded, it's still filled with loads of yummylicious food, wonderful friends and *ahem* my hubby Mr.NoButs..!

Yes I know...I've kinda disappeared lately but i can't help it...You know the the usual...busy, tired, lazy and etc...however since it's Happy Friday today, I've decided to blog for a little bit...nothing much but just a little bit ;)

AND to introduce Monster..!

We've had Monster for a few months but i'm only putting up his pics now...

He's named Monster because he's literary a little monster...he's also supposedly Toffee's boyfriend :)

Monster is now as big as Toffee and if not heavier :) It's also very hard to take good pictures of him as most of the pictures usually turns out looking like a lump of black thing :)

Oh and Toffee's still looking like a little pretty princess!

New Year So Far...

It's been 15 days since new year, wow ALREADY?!!

if 2008 was like whoa-fast, 2009 is like lightning-speed...but of course it did started with a BANG for me...

Now what have i been up to..? Apart from recovering, taking care of Mr.NoButs, being domesticated(cooking, washing, cleaning as much as i try to, worrying over doggies health), working(yes i do have a regular 9-6 job), casting/auditioning for play/film and YES stressing over the biggest day of my life...

Sometimes i feel like i'm a superwoman and some days i feel like i'm a bag lady from the dingy backlane off whichever skanky place ala cinderella covered in soots...OK i'm exeggerating a little here but you get the hang of it...perhaps i'm being emo again or perhaps i didn't really get to have a holiday that is much needed...perhaps i'm just tired...perhaps i just to hibernate and hide in my cave for a few days...too many perhaps...i should get back to work!

Of Life, Death and Love 2009

2009 a New Year..! most people would like to start the year with a BANG, normally fireworks would be most suitable...however for Ms.Drama-Queen like me i did started the year with a BANG, on a motorbike accident in Phuket, Thailand on the 1st of January 2009!!!

Not to worry, with the fact that i can write about this now simply means that i'm still alive...with some bruises, cuts and a few stitches as a souvenir from my long awaited holiday(my ass), Mr.NoButs is alive too(with a metal plate and 6 screws intact somewhere in his body)..!

We were really lucky to be in such an unlucky situation and the best thing that came with it...We are able to tell the story that we've been through life and death together, in sickness or health and our LOVE is growing stronger...

Sometimes in life you get a little confused and unsure, then life throws something BIG at you, a make or break situation...it's like what they say...whatever doesn't kill you only make you stronger..!(with all these drama, my life is pretty much a chunk of stone at the moment)

Mr.NoButs I Love You so much...
more than life itself and i'm glad the feeling's mutual and now we both know that we could never live without each other...

With Mr.Nicholas Bishop my acting tutor during the short screen acting course, he's been a great inspiration and i just wanna thank him for making me realised there's so much potential in me :)

And so life may not always be a big piece of Wagyu Beef Steak but if you have decided on something then work hard towards it...they may always be obstables along the way, stay true to yourself and things will eventually work out! :)

Dilemma Dilemma...

Life is as always full of choices...

at times you wonder of what is our existence...

the meaning of it all, our purpose, of what we need to fulfill...

Once again i am at the cross road where i have to make a choice, which obviously involves sacrifices...in which i can't decide of the importance of it all... no matter what my choice is, there will be sacrifices, great one...that i'm sure will impact and carry on my head/life for a long time...

Now what would you do if... Astro-NIDA scholarship(for Screen Acting) has selected you to be one of it's lucky participants however your responsibility is still at your full time job? It's for 2 weeks during working hours and year end is where at work is the busiest plus with the economy situation now is not the best time to make any hasty decision that will affect your paying job (not counting in the wedding that i'm suppose to attend overseas with air tickets and hotel paid for, and the long promised holiday together with the one you love) ???

Passion, dreams...reality bites...

Life is such a drama dilemma for me... :(

Junk In The Trunk - 9th November 2008

Well I've been super busy or rather not in the mood to blog lately but in case you're wondering I'm still alive and kicking..! Also I've set up a new blog shop called Little Charm's Box...

Little Charm's Box will make its first public appearance this Sunday at The Attic, Bangsar from 5pm til 10pm. Although this is mainly a 2nd hand market but we'll be there with some of my very limited new goodies as seen this site and also with some sentimental value goodies that is hard for us to let go...

(there will also be some goodies for the boys ie. men's clothing, golfing stuff, car parts and etc. so it's ok to bring your boyfriends along ;))

Mondayblueitis

Don't know why but lately i've been feeling a little blue...came to the conclusion that i suffer from mondayblueitis (credits to Alfie). Usually i fell really bad waking up on Monday, come Tuesday and the feeling is almost unbearable...Wednesday my condition improves slightly and Thursday better...and then miracalously cured on Friday and Saturday..!

Random O Random...

Well it's been a good couple of weeks since i last blogged...so maybe i was busy, tired and even lazy...but here i am updating on what you've been missing out, but please be warned that this is going to be quite random post with lots of pictures from here and there as i am feeling quite random today(Hari Raya mood)

Mr.NoButs took me out for a nice dinner recently(not like we don't do nice dinner all the time) and we kinda stumble upon the Ol' Smokehouse around Jalan Yap Kwan Seng...

I like the interior as it's very colonial English...

Random fountain bit in the middle...kinda pretty if you ask me... :)

And we had the smoked duck salad to start...

I had the roast beef with yorkshire pudding...

and Mr.NoButs had his healthy fishy...

All in all the dinner was quite alright and we had a lovely evening...

A couple of days later we decided to go to Teluk Intan to visit a friend and to check out potential wedding location...

Breakfast at Teluk Intan, I swear this is a super unhealthy brekkie but nevertheless yummy...

We were at The Lakehouse(Smokehouse) in Cameron Highlands...

Quite a nice place however it's not quite it i guess...

And then the following week we to check out Passion Road around Jalan Yap Kwan Seng...

Quite a cosy little place with a pretty friendly owner too..!

However the maximum capacity is only about 120pax...BUT they allowed us to bring our doggies :)

and back to randomness...Mr.NoButs and i went to have dinner at Bermuda & Onion at Changkat Bukit Bintang recently...

just my kind of thing..!

We also had a Ravioli to share...OMG it's so rich and so so good...!

By then we were really stuffed however I had sweet cravings and decided to find room for dessert...and the Chocolate Cake with Coconut sorbet is to die for...

The results are a very happy couple..! :)

OH and because i was having Macarons cravings that week...Mr.NoButs ordered me a box of 20!

Mr.NoButs asked for an assortment of flavours and we've only got chocolate and vanilla, i was slightly dissapointed as i was expecting all the fancy drill which you can see on their blog however it was still really good Macarons...

Of Becoming a Bridezilla

Yes since the cat is already out of the bag..! I might as well put it here...
I am engaged and the wedding is set to be middle next year...

Most you that knows me well must be wondering...OMG What?!! Charmayne getting married..? Is she pregnant?(NO, if i am then the wouldn't even have time for a wedding set next year) Is she crazy?(Yea i am crazy in case you don't know still...) Well whatever it is...I've found the person that i would want to spend the rest of my life with...you know get married, start a family, have some kids, have headaches raising the kids, grow old and etc. (in other words also known as complying to society and to what most called life) Please be happy for me as I AM VERY HAPPY!!!

For the past week, things have been crazy for me, i don't even know why is that but i realize what i'm having may be known as the Bridezilla symptoms. According to wikipedia: Bridezillaportmanteau of bride and Godzilla) is a generic term used to describe a difficult, unpleasant, perfectionist bride who leaves aggravated family, friends and bridal vendors in her wake. A bridezilla is obsessed with her wedding as her perfect day and will disregard the feelings of the family, bridesmaids and even her groom in her quest for the perfect wedding.

Haha funny isn't it? then again i don't see no wrong for having like one of the most important day of my life to be perfect and fairytale like...i don't think there's a lot of gals out there who would want their weddings to be a total nightmare with lots of not so pretty things for people to talk about...i mean seriously, people will naturally bitch...don't believe me? let me set a few examples here...

Typical Chinese 10 course sit down dinner: Warao got karaoke one...somemore that 'tai kam jei'(usually an aunty with lots to talk about and MC of the wedding) was talking so much rubbish, don't even understand why she can't shut up.
So called Beach/Poolside Wedding at quite a famous hotel in Mines: Eeeyer...the sand was not even proper, there's lot of ants and it ruined my shoes and i swear there's like a stench in the air...
Buffet style: WAH the food is so bad...so cheapo one this couple, cannot even spend a bit more on nicer food..!

these are just a few scenarios and it goes on and on...Now you see what i mean? People talk...and of course i want my wedding to be perfect and if people want to talk, it better be WOW it's the best wedding i've ever been to...it's so pretty and i wish my wedding is like that....See that's more like it! :) Can you tell me who doesn't want a perfect wedding?

It's hard enough trying to decide a location and to also have a reasonable budget...Arghhh...no wonder i'm going crazy..!

Ok that's it...i might elope or just have a wonderful smallish wedding here...

Long Awaited Extended Weekend Getaway!

Ismail The Last Days having been a part of my life for the past 3 1/2 months is now finally over...i must admit that it wasn't easy juggling between a day job with rehearsals and then performance on almost a daily basis...then again i had fun and would do it all over again! :)

all i could dream about is a holiday after not having much of a life for the past months...Mr.NoButs decided that we would go for a short getaway and we did... :)

First to JB to visit his lovely 90 year old granny...granny's sisters and friend are lovely..!

and then we were off to Singapore for a day of shopping and catching up with family and friends...

How soon is too soon?

We often wonder 'how soon is too soon?' after we meet someone...Alright, this 'how soon is too soon?' thing does not relate to sex(ok maybe it does if you want to apply it in that sense). Back to the topic...is there usually a time set for progression of things when it comes to relationship? Sample of a courting sequence:-

1. Meet a person
2. Ask the person out on a date
3. Go out on a date to find out if the other person is interested or simply just to test the water
4. Go out on more dates to find out even more
5. Get a little more intimate, exchange life stories about each other
6. Have sex (note: no. 6 may not usually be in this sequence, if not refer to no.7)
7. Kiss and cuddle
8. Have more sex
9. Move in (note:this may also not happen depending on the seriousness of the relationship or if anyone fucked up)
10. Marriage (note: refer to no.9's note)

Rite! so i merely just made up this cycle of how supposedly a relationship progression would be(say if there's no fucked up)...The question is 'how soon is too soon?' this question normally applies to no.6, to 10...the important parts...i guess it depends on the person really, some people could just skip no.2 to 5 and just go straight into no.6 and for some they need to be doing no.4 for at least 3 months before even moving on to no.5 let alone no.6 and for some people they start off with no.3 then moving along to no.6 and 7 and plunge into no.10 all within 3 months...

So HOW SOON IS TOO SOON..?

Coming Of Age

Most of the time, we wonder how or what we will be when we grow up...and when you're finally grown(old enough), you start to wonder again on how it'll be like when you're older...

When I was a little girl I've always dream of growing up fast...Growing up as a child I've always known what I wanted and I'll work towards it but strange enough I usually loose interest after a while. I wouldn't say that I was spoilt as a child but I am fortunate enough that I do get what I want(most of the time)...growing up as a teenager I was rebellious and carefree... to a point I am still rebellious and carefree...I may not necessarily know what I want but I do know what I don't want...

Also as a little girl I've always dream about a prince charming come sweeping me off my feet(as most little girls do) and propose with a classic Tiffany's six prong diamond ring..! Somehow it's something that I thought I've always wanted...along with a Vera Wang wedding gown and a garden celebration ala "Father of the Bride"...until recently when I tried on the six prong...I only realised that it doesn't suit me as well as I imagined it to be...it looks better on the glossy magazine rather than on my finger...hehe maybe a Novo would be better :)

Someone once asked me if all that is really that important to me and usually without any hesitation I would reply 'Yes, of course!'...and I insisted that I would only accept a marriage proposal under that kind of circumstances...however of late I realised that however wonderful it may be to fulfill a childhood dream, it is more important in finding the one that you can't wait to spend the rest of your life with...
and then nothing else matters!

Maybe it's coming of age, maybe it's my biological clock ticking(i'm still in denial of this LOL) or maybe it's just as simple as meeting THE One..!

Charmayne in Ismail The Last Days the musical...

It's been a good 3 months since rehearsals for Ismail The Last Days! We finally open next week on the 7th August and will be running until the 31st August. Crazy hectic rehearsals with blood, sweat and tears...although i may only be part of the ensemble but it's a big part of my life, my first musical ever, my debut!

A lot of sacrifices has been made...the juggling between work and my personal life, the negligence of family and friends...it's not easy but it's what i choose to do and i'm lovin it...

Thank you all for the patience and understanding you've given me and i hope you'll be proud of me.

Of Wonderful Shoppin' Fun Weekend

Yet another crazy fun-filled weekend...like what else is new?! My life is kind of routinized of late due to rehearsals and the lack of time to do anything else(yes, also i've mentioned this many of times)...if it's not rehearsal then it'll be at some kind of gigs/play/show/ that i would wanna attend...however last weekend came with a bit of a twist... i went shopping..! Yay! Haven't been shopping in ages but it's always a good thing... :) definitely all smiles :)

Food Binging Weekend...

Didn't have much time to go anywhere since there's additional rehearsal hours on Sunday now... My weekend is pretty much just Saturday and even maybe that is going to disappear soon... OMG opening night is exactly 1 month away...NO wonder everyone's stressed out..!

Although i wouldn't classify myself as an emotional eater...however it seems like it's the only thing i've been doing over the last weekend...

My weekends(i do mean Friday evening and the whole of Saturday as I have rehearsals on Sunday) nowadays are such precious moments for me as it's the only time when i get to do my personal stuff that's non related to work nor rehearsal...I tend to cram lots into it...

Last weekend was my usual heavy duty ones with loads to do...and i'm still feeling the effects today and that's being extremely tired...Now what did i do again..?

On Friday night i was at Savanh Too @ Plaza Mon't Kiara to catch the Malayan Borneo Grasscutter Ninja Union Quartet for the KL Charity Bar event...Grasscutter WHO?!! Hahaha they're just some really awesome band...

Overall Friday was a good evening...can't complain since it ended with a nice ice-cream cone from Baskin Robbins...Caramel Turtle...yums..!

my nose is runny and my eyes are teary and i've been sneezing the whole afternoon...NOT good! well at least rehearsal for tonight is canceled and that leaves me time to rest, now why is rehearsal canceled? cause poor Joe(Hasham) is sick too...man..! definately some kind of bug going around...

Extended Monday Blues

I'm currently experiencing extended Monday blues on a Tuesday...the day is going on fast however the pace of the mind is still lacking half of a day behind...Arghhh HELP!!!

Maybe(most likely) i need to be on a nice holiday or get the usuals recommended hours of sleep per night...and seeing that i can't be on a holiday since my rehearsals schedule doesn't permit, sleep will be my only option!

Had a long fulfilling weekend once again...
Quite glad that rehearsals are not much for this week as then i could get some of my stuff done...

Now what have i been up to over the weekend...Went to Rimbun Dahan residence/art gallery of Hijjas Kasturi in Kuang which is just after Sungai Buloh for the Shifting Boundaries Art Exhibition...

Life&Death: The Aftermath

i know I said that this is going to be my year…
the year when I pursue my passion and dreams…the year when I work my ass off in order to make a living and keeping my dreams alive…

however it’s only early April and it’s really no joke for me when I was still lying on the hospital on the 1^st of April since being admitted on the 27^th March, and was finally discharged on the 5^th April. Wow 9 freaking days at the hospital and being on drips was definitely not a funny thing for me…my veins are still bruised from the poking of the IV as I’m typing now…

my IV was changed from left to right hand 4 times...

Initially I thought that I was going through another episode of my gastric series which lead on for like 4 days before I was admitted..! nevertheless who could’ve thought I was actually having an infection of the biliary system which causes Cholangitis and Jaundice..! little did I know that it was quite major and there’s high fatality effects as such…in other words, if I’m not that lucky...i might not be here today, writing this aftermath and probably be 6 feet under..!

maybe it’s a sign that my body is telling me to slow down and to reassess my priorities or just that I can’t or not suppose to have it all…however deep down I know that this is where my passion lies and I’m still not about to give it all up..! Just having meant that I need to take care of my health and treat my body better…my vices have to go...at least for now…

Drips thats giving me support to keep alive & better...

Damn! My life is all drama when I come to think about it…and wonder if I could do with less…then again I wonder what’s there for me to tell my grandchildren if it wasn’t such…

I know that a lot people was and still is very worried about my health conditions, just so you know I’m better now and recovering still…

A big thank you for those that visited me during my stay at the hospital bed(not a very pretty sight) and for those that didn’t make it, it’s ok I understand that you’ve problems of your own or could be probably busy and all…or you simply just don’t care! (excuse me for my morbid sense of humour, but can you imagine if things worsen and it could be the last time you’ll ever see me?)

I don’t guarantee that I’ll be any less hard working in pursuing my dreams but I’ll do my best to keep healthy, take things easier and yet still try my very best….

Confinement of space

Confinement..!

this is a different type of confinement as i'm not in jail but in the hospital, sort of bed bound...yes it's quite a shocker! i'm shock that i've been in here for like 4 days and yet i still don't know when i'll be discharged...

all these concoction of sodium, chloride, antibiotics, vitamins and glucose is putting me in a daze as it pump through my veins...i've been poked over and over again, my flesh aches yet it's beyond that...

an old lady passed on in my ward just, the commotion whilst they were trying to revive her was just overwhelming...and it puts me into an emotional wreck now...i don't know how to explain or elaborate what i'm feeling but it's a sense of loss and emptiness...

as the disinfectant fills the air, my tears roll on...

Another year, another fabulous celebration - Part 3

Finally the continuation for the 'another fabulous year' entry...i'm back in the mood on happier things and how my life/health is obviously a priority for me now...i may have upset someone along the way while putting my health in first position but if they do not understand that it's a mortal life we're dealing here with...then i've nothing to say but good luck and have a nice life..!

So 3rd day at the festival...we obviously have to have the substantial energy for the finale and guess what sorta energy drink that we've been having...

Highlight of that evening is none other than the infamous Incognito... and what more?!! I was really really overwhelmed and had tears of joy..! :)

What else if it's none other than Krispy Kreme. It's ridiculous how Malaysians don't get to enjoy this sinful lush treat because we simply do not have it here...however from what i heard...someone is going to bring the vitamin K in soon... :) yeah! JOY!!!

Soon after our fabulous rendezvous at Krispy Kreme...we head on to the Jakarta Convention Centre for more Jazz and Bintang(beer) action..!

Ok i kinda lied...we got back to the hotel after much shopping and eating and we did some camwhoring...but we did go back for more Jazz and Bintang action...didn't really catch much performers as the highlight of the evening was none other than...

George Clinton and his Parliament of Funk..! We want funk..! :)

March 2008 so far...One word...WOW..!

it's been a mind blowing sort of celebrated festive 'season' and as i'm typing this...i'm still recovering from fever(literary and not literary) must've been all the music bugs/viruses, then again it could just be the ever so polluted air in Jakarta...

Also i have to say that i'm no longer a Java Jazz Festival virgin(obviously!)...I've been deflowered in the most euphoric ways that one could possibly imagine at the festival - YES and that is Jazz in its purest and most improvising form internationally..! :P

...definitely not deflowered by this bunch..! the madness of the 'queue' just to catch a glimpse of Ms Renee Olstead...

...Ms. Olstead and her Big Band, very magical...

Went around for a wonder after her performance and then later on to catch Kurt Elling...his voice is incredibly raspy and seductive...

...Oh if it's not Mr Elling himself...

It's almost coming to the end of the first day of the festival but it was not over until we boogie down to the infamous Earth, Wind & Fire tribute band(which i don't really have a picture of)... after the long day, it was then back to the hotel for some shut eye before the second day of the festival...

On the Eve of Chinese New Year

...it's Chinese New Year once again...usually a couple of months before i would've already felt the atmosphere with all the 'Tong Tong Chiang(drums beat)' and the 'Sieng Nian Lai Lo' annoying music in my ear drums...however i'm not sure if i've been so busy lately that i don't really feel it this year as compared to the previous years...

...however i went into baking-a-frenzy mood...something which i don't usually practice on a Chinese New Year...i made some pretty cute pink cupcakes...So if you're around town and if you wanna pay me a visit...you may be lucky enough to try ;)

...It's been another hectic yet productive week...Ultimately i'm lacking sleep! i could so snuggle up in my warm fuzzy bed now and sleep for days... :) heck..! i can't... :( and it's only the beginning of the journey of my long and exciting year...

Most recent good news... I've been appointed as Workshop Coordinator for The Oral Stage a youth theatre company for their 'WORKSHOPPED!' division and that means...upcoming theatre workshops at an affordable price for people that's interested to learn more about acting...i will definately keep you all posted about this...first workshop session is set on the 23rd & 24th February @ The Dram Projects in Section 17, Petaling Jaya.

Ok...so back to the week which just passed...received some sad news about an ex-colleague that just passed away on a biking accident...Edwin may you rest in peace..! Everytime when i come to know of news like this, it always put me in a 're-prioritizing' kind of manner...to think of what is more important in life, family, friends, career and such...at times i know i'm selfish, i may have neglected certain things that's more dear to me than anything in the world...and at times i think to myself that perhaps if i were to do the things conforming to set of rules or of how other people want me to be...i might as well not be alive...then again we are all selfish in our on ways...enough of this for now...i don't want to be as 'emo' right now.

So and i went for the Quiksilver Revolution 2.0 at Sunway Lagoon on Saturday...and my godness Puerto Rican surfer is so so HOT....Dylan Graves...check him out if you can...and then in the evening i went to Gary & Steph's Wedding...Congratulations..! the wedding was somewhat like a reunion as i bumped into people from college which i haven't seen in ages...even an English lecturer of mine was there and he could remember my name and i remembered was he looked familiar hehehe but it's all good...he naturally reminded me of his name...apparently i was one of his 'good' student...i know i know, hard to believe i was ever good in college...but hey it's impressive when someone you haven't seen for so long recognises you at an instant as their 'good' student....lol

Sunday went to KLPac Open Day..! it was such good fun really....i really have no idea what's with me and fishes lately, heck it's not even March yet...*hint hint* :) i went to check out the Koi Pond...it was lovely...some of those fishes - HUGE..! so huge that you might as well put a strap on it and take it out for a walk...

Fish for the Fish!

Most recently i had to send my car to a workshop due to my absorbers being worn out and some of the mountings broke :( the damage is oh well...let's just say i'm broke... Since my workshop is on Jalan Bukit Bintang...I've decided to take a short walk to Pavilion to kill some time(actually it's more than some time as i was there from 12pm-ish until 6pm..!). I was bored, i sat at Starbucks reading my book and had coffee(oh i got some sun)...then my gal friend called, we chatted and she told me to go check out the Fish Spa on level 5. I was a little hesitant at first however being the adventurous me, i went anyways...

This is when the fishy first attack..! The sensation = Ticklish..! Bloody Ticklish..! As soon i put my feet into it...i took it out almost immediately as it's just too darn ticklish...i was trying not to scream... :) heheheh but after a while it was ok, cause by then your skin is used to the nibbling sensation...

The fishy was attacking in abundance..! Hehehe it looks scary here...almost nauseating for some really...

Overall i would say i enjoyed it as it was really good fun..! The people around was just all giggly and laughing...if you're in for an infectious ticklish laughter treatment, then this is the place..! :)

Talk about how time flies..! We're already in the 2nd week of the year...this will be one great busy year for sure, at least i know for me it'll be...

I know as usual people would like to do a recap of their past year when they first enter into the new year but as for me i rather not because i can't really can't be arsed about it...not that i didn't have a great year last year...last year was indeed a blast for me! so many wonderful heartfelt incidents happened- some joyous, some confusing, some disheartening and some even overwhelming..! and it's all good... :)

Let me put it this way...i would just like to use and focus all my energy into this new year as i'll be needing loads(buckets loads) of it! Now most you all would still be wondering what the heck am i rambling on and on about this busy year...No?!! Why am i gonna be so freaking busy and all that..? Because this is the year where i'm pushing my own boundaries..! I'm going all out into Performance Arts..! And yes i've gotten myself a singing part for a Broadway Revue(if all goes well the show's in August in Istana Budaya, yes i expect you people to come and NO there isn't any free tickets!), I've also enrolled myself into an acting class conducted by Mr.Joe 'incredible' Hasham, he's a great director and ONE word, RESPECT to him..! On top of the rehearsals which just started...i'm still going for more auditions(so if anyone know of anything please let me know)...so now you know why i'm gonna be busy..! ;)

On the Eve of New Year

ONE word - 'WOW' and this is how my 2007 has been...

As i'm trying to recap over all that happened, melancholy starts to hit me... not in a bad way really(yes this is kind of an oxymoron) however to me it's just another set of feelings. It's been one helluva rollercoaster ride for me this year... the ups, the downs and the anti-climax ;)

I've grown and learned and have become more of a skeptic, i guess that's what time and circumstances will do to one...however i am growing stronger each day...i am working towards my goals and dreams, pursuing for that matter and yet, no regrets so far...i am so solid that nothing can break me right now except for myself or my own stubbornness...hehe...what can i say but i am living my life to the fullest at this point! Next year is going to be a superbly busy yet amazing year for me...

...and here i would like to thank each and everyone of you...for your criticism, for your negativity, for your discouragement, for your care, for your positive feedback, for your support and for your love which sparks off my passion and determination once again...

May 2008 be a better year for each and everyone of us..!

Cannot actually believe that it's Christmas eve already...the office is half empty and no one's in the mood to work really...Gonna have an ass-kicking dinner do later on with turkey, scotch eggs, ham, mashed potatoes, eggnog and all the works..! Oh and not forgetting pressies..!

Mia rocked the house down literary by doing a tribute to Jon Bon Jovi. She belted out a couple of numbers and got the audience to do a shout-a-long..!

Christmas a season to get to together, celebrate, appreciate and to rejoice(for most people anyways!)...whereas for me it is the time of giving and receiving(i prefer receiving..! even if it's not Christmas..!) this year have been most eventful, i know the year's not over yet but soon soon... i missed having white Christmases, especially seeing people busy running around doing last minute shopping along Oxford Street in London...pretty lights and decorations all over the place...it's just like any other picture perfect hectic Christmas shopping time you normally see in movies.

Yes yes i know...it's been too freaking long since i've updated...hey good things only comes to those who wait(and so the saying goes...) I've been doing and going about much lately however due to the lack of a good camera, i didn't managed to take any fabulous looking pictures of the nights out. Current favourite hangout will be at the Heritage Mansion (yes i know it's also only by invitations and indeed it is a very swanky place!)

Alright enough about my partying...and lets get on to some serious business - Food!!! Recently we celebrated birthday for a colleague of mine. We decided to check out Food Foundry Petit which is tucked away amongst the busy area of Bangsar around the housing on Lorong Kurau.

You should be salivating by now and if you're not something is completely wrong with you! The price is very reasonable and honestly I will definately go back for seconds! It's hard enough in KL that you find a place that actually serves good pasta and this place does it 'al dente' (which means to the tooth in Italian and the way that pasta should be cooked). The Pan Seared Duck which I had was just amazingly delicious..! So if you're around or even if you're not, please make an effort to go check this place out...

...this post will be of birthday, musical, more birthday(s) and love. yes i admit that i've been a little lazy with updates, well no excuse really..! i've been lazy and not in the mood lately for much. my mind is occupied with so much! like with you know the 'meaning of life' and such...

...this is kind of a belated post with all the events that happened in the early September, well it's not that late i suppose, even if it is i don't care!

...of birthday - Recently it was *ahem* non other than my baby's birthday and i took him out to celebrate. it was a surprise and it was so well planned that he doesn't even have a clue until we got there...

I took him to Carcosa Seri Negara for a lovely afternoon English tea! well i must say that it's more my kind of thing but since he's not tried it, figured it will be a good experience.

this place is very colonial-English, perfect for a cup of tea! ;)

check out the food and tea, i lurveee the tier thingy! oh and the tea, it's lovely..!

and the scones being served with clotted cream, strawberry and rose jam(the rose jam was just perfect, although baby prefers the strawberry - well each to their own)

...when i first made reservations for tea, i've made arrangements by informing them(Azlan, whomever you are thank you!) it's my bf's birthday blah blah and i would need candles (as i don't have the need to order a 1kg chocolate cake which will eventually become waste). he told me that it's not a problem and it would be arranged, day before i called again to make sure they remembered my special request, and they told me sure not a problem...i was getting kind of worried as i would be arriving with him and was afraid that the surprise will turn out less than perfect.

...well when we arrived i was kind of afraid that the waiters gonna blurt out that it's his birthday but surprisingly they were all quite professional and not a single motion that might indicates they knew of anything(including the surprise)...hehehe yes and then i got worried again (damn, i have to stop worrying, then again i wanted it to be a good one)...so halfway through tea i casually excused myself for a loo break, went inside talked to the manager on duty and he said it'll be sorted!

...as we're almost done with the food... these bunch of waiters came out and started singing Happy Birthday...baby thought it was for another table until they walked over to our table, ha he was properly surprised and was well impressed!

yes i know it wasn't my birthday but the picture he took with his cake wasn't that good, ok not like this one is that great either (eee-flabby arms)

up close of the cake, with fresh whipped cream walnuts, strawberries and Godiva chocolate (yes it's chocolate for the gods :P) we certainly enjoyed it!

...of musical - Frogway! yea he's a pond star and he's a frog with big dreams! Music was good, kudos to Michael Veerapen and Marcel Nunis! hmm...yea so i like the music! (of course Fly was on bass and Julian on saxaphone) :)

...of more Birthday - Mia dearie invited me over to The Attic for her yearly lovely birthday celebration...and most importantly she sang this year! (yes she usually doesn't perform on her birthday however she made changes this year)

it's been 5 months...wow only?!!

Baby decided to take us out to celebrate and he brought us to this Balinese inspired restaurant called Bora Asmara that is quietly tucked away from the city in Kampung Sungai Penchala... Indeed the ambience was good...menu is quite limited however the price is very reasonable...

Obviously we had to check out the place so we went for a walkabout after dinner around the restaurant...

I had another surprise after dinner, I would say that it was a good attempt as the idea is somewhat romantic... Yes baby took me to Eye On Malaysia...if you don't know what it is...it's a big ass ferris wheel thingy ala London Eye...it's not great compared to London Eye however like i said...the whole idea was nice and sweet :)

...last weekend i had a bit of a blast as it was the big THREE-O for someone crazy, obviously for someone crazy the party would never be anything less than crazy...

So we went to Sky bar and kick started things and continue on at Velvet...it was indeed a fun filled nite...we went to Jalan Alor for some food after a nite of frenzy and to sober up mostly...

However some of us ended up in great pain or scarred for life even...who would've thought that by having supper/breakfast you could end up having an injury???

Borneo Exposed!!!

Yes Charmayne is a gal that's never been to the eastern part of Malaysia - hence this trip was pure excitement for me! So much happened in just a few days that i've difficulties trying to fit everything in this post...however i'm going to try my very best to make it as interesting as possible and not to bore you guys to death...

...before anything i would like to THANK Kenny Sia and Lyn (Shawnae's friend) for being so hospitable and accommodating...

...indeed this is almost arriving at the Kuching International Airport, the view was spectacular..!

...there were giant cats all over and i wonder why..? Anyways i don't care much about cats...

And what do i care about??? FOOD of course! I must've gained a few pounds after this trip i swear(there goes my luck with trying out with the casting agencies)... we had so much food that after i got back to KL i don't feel like eating anything but rabbit food. You don't believe me... here goes...

After Lyn picked us up from the airport...she decided to take us for brunch as it was still too early for us to check in...She brought us to Madam Tang's for some munchies...

...I had the Special Beef Noodles - I love my meat ok..!

We went to the Civic Centre to have a look-see after brunch...

...and back to the hotel after that and yet it was still too early to check in...and then Kenny came and took us for lunch...

...none other than his favourite KY jelly kolo mee stall...hehe which was pretty good and the noodles were pretty in pink...well since we all had 'brunch' not too long before that, all the gals couldn't finish the noodles apart from Kenny himself and my baby(he's lovin it, of course!).

We went for a walkabout after lunch, yes we NEEDED to do that with all those food fighting to digest in our tummies..! Finally got back to the hotel, checked-in and took a long nap..! Lyn came and picked us up for dinner after that and yeah more food...

We had so much more stuff but i just coudln't be bothered to take anymore pictures... oh did i mention 3 cans of beer for RM10??? I know, NOW you want to go to Kuching too rite?!! And after much eating, drinking and chatting...Lyn dropped us off at the hotel.

Just after about 10 seconds we got back to the hotel, guess who called??? Kenny did! 'Hey, where you guys? I wanna take you to try Kuching's famous Sio Bee, it's nearby your hotel..bla...bla...' Well i couldn't resist right eventhough i was still stuffed from everything...hmm..gluttony, i just have to...and i told Kenny ' Sure, thing!'

...Apparently these Sio Bees have some kind of effect on people which made them do silly looking pose whereby their animal instinct kicks in..! mine was of course the chipmunk/hamster face! Kenny's...i don't know, you tell me...

I feel stuffed again now after looking at those pictures...Rite, so this trip was not just for food, ultimate reason we were there was for the Rainforest World Music Festival...

Then again, all good things must come to an end...it was our last day about in Kuching and guess what i stumbled upon into..? i would say it's one of my most current favourite restaurants/bars, however it's in Kuching, darn it! KL should have something like this...

...isn't it apparent by now that i'm an emotional wreck..? with people - i emo! with work - i emo! with love - i emo! with animals - i emo! with plants - i emo! with the time of the month - i fucking emo!

...maybe an emotional soul like me doesn't have a purpose here in life(for i only takes up space and waste energy when i'm emo-ing)...or maybe my purpose is when someone else needs me to be there for them emotionally, i'm there! Funny as whenever i need someone to be there for me when i'm being an emotional wreck, i always start to feel like i'm a burden or perhaps i'm too intense to handle...

...hey! maybe all i need is a shoulder to cry on or a BIG BIG hug! no extra responses needed...just let me let loose or cry my eyes out...

...this is eating me up from inside and the pain is beyond tangibles...i'm numb...my tears won't stop flowing...i need to get out of here..!

Just a little bit of heavenly Just Heavenly some more! i think my *ahem* hormones are SO imbalance this month that i've been having crazy mood swings and cravings for sweetie cakes..! when i said crazy, i do mean crazy...like i could laugh so happily at a moment and next i feel like crying or wanna kill someone..! (yes i pity the boyfriend too! :p) and no you don't wanna mess with me...

...then again, cakes are here again to save the day!

Banana Cream Pie...yes there's also an eclair and a profiterole in there....

You could almost taste the creamy custard caramelized banana crumbly pie melting on your tongue rite?!!

...at the rate that i'm going, i foresee i'm going to be broke (oh wait, i'm already broke) :( and this is only with cake eating that i'm talking about...sigh...

Ola~ and so this is Spain as promised...

Olive tree...this i would say is a perfect picture for me to start this entry...

Now the actual name of the location of where i was..? i have no idea however i knew i was an hour in between Alicante and Valencia... i was there to visit a couple of family friends...

...okies i know this is like Wow...

...and O! it's Super Wow..!

Magnificent view! kinda like that sorta thing that you'll mostly see on TV usually, like all of the houses around here has its own swimming pool - How posh is that..?

...so Posh that even the neighbours have peacocks outside their gate..!

Uncle & Aunty took me to Xalo, a village nearby for dinner...

....lovely steak for main, OMG those grilled vegs are super yummylicious especially those artichokes! *drools*

...anyone seen steaks being done 'blue' before? well if not...here you go!

...dessert wines and this was obviously the best part of the evening. i even found my new love which is the Muscadel wine....love it so very much! and obviously made some friends with the locals and carried on drinking for a bit, hence i didn't post the pictures here...you guys go figure why...we got home and i had a very good night sleep after.

You know how quickly time flies when you're having fun...and it was time for me to go the following day...went for lunch at Xalo again and this time we had...

...some kind of cold cut meat, as usual i'm lovin it! ( i don't think i'll post it here if i don't like it) and yes you noticed the San Miguel alright, i do like my beer..!

...hmm now what kind of meat is this one??? RABBIT!!! yes it's rabbit meat and it doesn't taste like chicken, quite tasty actually (now if you're grossed out, please don't be! as i'm chinese and it's in my blood to eat whatsoever, if you don't like it you don't have to however DO not judge me!)

Pretty much rushed to the airport after lunch...luckily i didn't missed my flight...took some pictures while i was on the plane...

Ciao..! yes yes i've been busy again as usual...however this is part 2 from my holiday. I'm not going to bombard you people with a lot of text as i believe the pictures pretty much speaks for itself! Enjoy...

Yes it's Bienvenue en France..!

...went for a stroll around place de la Concorde... we got hungry after the short stroll & went searching for food...

...and talk about ambience...it's literary dark in there & then came light..!

...hehehe and food! yea i know it's sushi, since we didn't made any reservations we could only have sushi at the bar :(

...went for another stroll after dinner - Paris at night...nice! Oh and then we stumbled upon some posh shopping avenue...

...and jewel encrusted shoe! i want a pair of those please! *drools*

...and bizzare Lanvin's window display - seems like a cross breeding orgy going on in there!

We called it a night after more walking about and woke up earlier the following day for our 'hop-on, hop-off' bus tour around the cite.

...Macaroons, tartes, millefiulle, croissant, eclairs...yummylicious pastries in the morning!

...Yes French people actually queue up to get those pastries in the morning (reminds you of Roti Boy when it first started right?! doesn't remind me of anything though as when Roti Boy started, i was not in Malaysia)

I love Paris but it was time to say goodbye...Au Revior!
